Fairbanks Morse Type Z, Style
styled1

Production of the 1 1/2 horsepower Type Z, Style D engine began in late 1928. This engine was a radical departure from previous designs, in that it was completely enclosed. Machinery could be belted directly from the crankshaft belt pulley. On the opposite side of the engine was another pulley running at camshaft speed.
